Gigs
21 . 01 . 2010 -- the Corporation, Sheffield
Just a quick update on whats been happening lately in the SS camp. The West Street Live gig with ECHOFALL went very well, especially since it seemed it would be a complete disaster due to both IMMENSION and MANTANK cancelling at very short notice, and Cookie having throat problems. We'd like to thank ANDREW GIBSON for jumping in at the last minute to help out on vocals for our final track of the night, not only did it take the strain off Cookies voice, but it also meant we could play a Children of Bodom cover!! Hopefully some photos will surface soon.
Otherwise, there has been a delay in the recording side of things, so the band have decided to do a live room recording in the mean time, so expect to hear from us soon!!

The live videos are finally up on the website. We filmed 3 songs, 2 of which have not been recorded previously. To view them, go into the new "Video" section of the website. Thanks to Charlotte, Dan and Matt for filming and editing the footage.
Otherwise, we are still recording in the studio and something should creep up from that over the next couple weeks. We have a couple gigs in the pipeline, as soon as we have confirmation they will be up on the website.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Corporation gig last night. It was one of the best gigs we have played, and we all enjoyed getting back on stage and banging out the tunes again! A fitting start to the new year if there ever was one!! The photo section has been updated with some photos from the Corp gig, thanks to MATT FERN for the shots!
Otherwise, we are hoping to hit the ground running and get some more gigs booked for the coming weeks, so if you have a slot free at a gig give us a bell!

Happy New Year!!!
We are hitting the new year with a bang with our gig at the Corporation on the 21st of January, as part of the Annual Rampage Night. There are posters creeping up all over the city centre and we are really looking forward to hitting the stage along with 100 BULLETS and START THE HOURGLASS.
Tickets are £5, or £4 if you have a Rocksoc membership card. They are available on the door and online so get yourself sorted, come down, and rock with the SS!!
Otherwise, the video we filmed in November is nearly completed, so keep checking for updates on that!

We have just had confirmation that we will be playing our final gig of 2009 on the 11th of December, at the Dove n' Rainbow bar in Sheffield. We will be headlining, and Troika will be supporting.
The video is coming along nicely too, with the mixing nearly finished, and the editing of the footage underway. Hopefully that should see the light of day before Xmas, and may surface around the Corp gig along with a possible EP, which we will start recording over the next few weeks.
Its gonna be a busy Xmas.....

Had a busy few weeks since the last update. We hired a venue out on the 1st of November and took a film crew down with us to go through some tracks, once thats done it should all be up online. Other news we will be playing at the RAMPAGE night at the CORPORATION on the 21st of January. More updates will be announced soon!!!

Right there have been some changes to the grapes gig tomorrow night.. FIREGARDEN pulled out.. so VIPEROUS have been added.. with them opening, us second on and NORTHERN OAK headlining. doors are still at 8 and we should be on about 9.

Gigs seem to be coming in thick and strong now we are back ready to go. Couple new tracks are on the mend so hopefully they should get played at some point over the next couple gigs. We are also hoping to finish off some of the high quality recordings.

Unforunately we did not win the BOTB competition. A Signed band named DURBAN did.
We are on a slight break until september, but hoping to get some writing done during the time off. Watch this space for some high quality recordings too!!!

We are all looking forward to the final of BATTLE OF THE BANDS at the POMONA. We will be playing at 7:15 pm. Cookie unfortunately will not be singing as she can not make the date.. however our friend SARA SMITH will be filling in.

Got quite a few gigs booked over the last couple weeks. Gonna have a busy end of May!!! The Abbey gig has been switched around so we are now Headlining and Retaliator have been added to the bill. Asides from that, we are back at the Grapes the day after, with gigs at the Red House and a battle of the bands at the Pomona Following!!!

The last weekend saw us take the first step towards a possible EP. We recorded Gaz's drums at the studio on Saturday, a total of 6 songs were recorded. The rest of the recording will be done at home over the next couple months.

We've just confirmed a short notice gig at the Moorfoot Tavern in Sheffield on Saturday the 11th of April. It will be a co-headline slot with the metal band RETALIATOR. We will be on first, taking to the stage at 9:15, with Retalliator playing at 10:15.

We had our first gig last night at the Grapes in Sheffield. It felt good to finally get the stuff played!! It went really well and the overall atmosphere in the room was great... but sweaty!! Some photos were taken and will be uploaded within the next week.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the West St. Live gig tonight due to the weather. Both Stu and Gaz were pretty much stuck, and even if they got there, getting back might have been a different story. Its dissapointing but theres nothing we can do asides from wait til the next gig!

There still seems to be some confusion surrounding the gig. At this very moment I think its best just to un-announce it, as the bands that are double booked... both are under the impression its them thats playing. So until It is clear, its gonna have to stay cancelled on this site.
